Panpan

Another piece of boring “high literature”. Sebastian annoyed me. He thinks he is so clever but he is just arrogant, childish, lazy, unorganised. Can‘t take him serious. – And the painter Kaminski❓ I don‘t know. He‘s a stereotype of an old man commanding everyone in his surroundings around.
The only realistic thing was the encounter in the North. That‘s what it must be like when old people meet.
The “surprise” in the end didn‘t even make me grin.

Also < 200 pages from my wish list.

A book about a guy who manages to be the author/ghost writer for the biography of the painter Kaminski. So he is at first very proud but of course, the longer he knows the famous man the more he realizes that the painter is a complicated personality.

When I read the blurb I just imagined Kaminsky to be like Al Pacino in „Scent of a Woman“ and that made the plot interesting to me.

BookBabe Thanks for sharing! Sounds like a great book. 📚🎨 5y
