Crisis on Infinite Earths | 
bailedThis seminal comics event starts well enough. You can feel how much fun writer Wolfman and artist Pérez had weaving all their favourite DC characters into an epic tale of worlds literally colliding in space and time. It could‘ve been a great 6- or even 8-issue arc.
At 12 issues, some double-sized, it‘s just too long. The back half is peppered with lead-ins to stories continued in other books, too. I got bored and bailed with 140 pages to go.
RamsFan1963 I reread this right before the CW's big Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover. I still enjoyed it, but I remember the excitement of waiting month to month to see what would happen next. Reading it all in one sitting, lessens the thrill. 4y
xicanti @RamsFan1963 there were definitely cool parts. I probably would‘ve enjoyed it more if I‘d read it soon after a whole bunch of late 70s/early 80s DC so I felt more of a universal progression. 4y
