Honestly what a return to YA that this was for me. I wasn‘t sure how I‘d feel about a novel narrative written entirely in poetry, but every piece of this book was beautiful and so very real. I felt X‘s pain so viscerally and her joy jumped off the page. What a reminder of the intersections of being a young Latina and balancing family and religion.
