mandi1082 When I started this I thought this was a book about two people who meet because the boys mother cleans the girls family house. I thought they come back together years later and fall in love. Which is some what the synopsis but not really. I didnt really care for their chemistry. Or even the "games" they played with each other. It was like they wouldn't see each other and then they would and they would have sex. Then separate again and then repeat. A little frustrating is what I took from it. ?‍♀️

I always know some what of what I'm getting myself into when I read a book from Shaun David Hutchinson. This book was wierd, quirky, but had a message which most of his books are all about. Dino family works in a funeral home and when Dino's ex bestfriend dies suddenly and then comes back to life. They go on a small journey to figure out why is she back along with why their friendship ended so badly.

I've enjoyed this read. About a teen who decides to follow the wrong crowd and starts to make wrong choices. Parents are fed up and dont know what else to do, so they send her to a wilderness camp to hopefully help get her act together. It was a fun fast funny read.

mandi1082 This story was fun, interesting and funny. I loved the characters and the time travel aspect. I loved the supporting roles of the parents and abuela. This book makes you think what if you could go back In time and change the way things were. It showed how things still might not come out the way you hoped and thought it would. 1w
mandi1082 Con... I felt the book was A little long and some of the parts felt cheesy. Like the whole babe or some of the cussing was not for me. Either way

This book is hard to rate because I liked it but I didnt love it. Greek mythology is not my forte and doesnt make a lot of sense to me with all the names and gods and goddess I get confused easily. I easily bought this for the cover because it is beautiful but if it wasnt for the audiobook I dont think I would have got through it at all. I did like the story and found some parts entertaining but some of the parts kind of dragged.

mandi1082 I read this back when it first came out. So this is a reread for me. I felt this story deep down inside of me. I felt the pain and the struggles that Melinda faces not only with her school life but her home life. This second time around the read was better since I wanted to reread this because SHOUT by the same author came out this year which was great 2w

This book makes you think what if???? I like the thought of this story and the what ifs. The main character was just okay. There was part of the story I could care less for. So many parts I wish I could have changed. The ending could have been a little bit better 🤷‍♀️ overall I liked the idea of the story and parts of the book. I would suggest giving it a try!

I was left a little confuse after finishing this book. It left a lot of unanswered question but after reading and hearing other people thoughts I know why. This book did not wrap up anything that was going on to make you as the reader to pick up the 2nd book. I felt a little bored reading this book. Even though the pace was not so bad. I might pick up book 2 just to have some of questions answered.

mandi1082 Oh my heart is breaking into a million pieces. This book was filled with so much raw emotions on the subject of dealing with a death of somebody you love so much. I loved the story that was written on what some children have to deal with when somebody that they thought would always be there to take care of them is suddenly not there any more to do that. How children are moved from foster home to foster home on hopes on finding a forever home but some who just stick around until the age out of the system. What a great read! 3w

This story dealt with all types of topics. Such as race, family, death, etc. This book started off with an introduction of a whole bunch of characters who did not have normal names but towards the middle and end it starts to make sense. If you pick this up make sure its during a time that you have time for this book. Should be read carefully and with an open mind for it deals with a lot of hard topics.

Now that I know this is semi autobiographical that some things that Shirin went through a year after 9/11 also happened to Tahereh Mafi. That she wrote about some of her experiences and struggles. I loved the relationship between Sherin and her brother. Sherin and her mother and especially Sherin and Ocean. Great read Great Story!!!
