Pickpick

In this unpredictable murder mystery novel, we follow the story of 4 young high school students and their involvement of the murder of a classmate, Simon Kellehar. They were all in detention one day when Simon mysteriously dropped dead. We learn of their involvments, if any, and discover many troubling things about each person, they all have their own secrets. kyra.piekema This book is written from a first person perspective which we can tell from the use of pronouns such as I, me, our, us, etc. Each chapter the perspective switches to a new character and we gain knowledge of their inner thoughts and feelings of each. The major themes in this novel are the desire to be better than others, the effects of peoples opinions as well as truth vs lies and seeing the differences between the two. (edited) 2y

Mehso-so

In this heart wrenching novel, we follow the life of young Caitlyn learning to navigate her life after the death of her best friend and other half, Ingrid. Major themes in the book include friendship, loss and learning how to deal living without someone you believed to have completed you. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a tearjerker, especially young teens. This book is easily relatable as most struggle with loss at some point.

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Kyra! If it is not your thing, feel free to grab a new one! 6/6 2y
