Just finished this historical fiction about an extremely powerful woman, Emily Roebling. Late 1800s she takes over her husband‘s role as chief engineer of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. Think about it…during that timeframe, women‘s roles were meant to be subservient to their husbands and fathers. Remarkable story, but fiction thrown in there too. The author tells you at the end, what was fact vs fiction. I definitely recommend this book.
