Funny, sad book about a man and his dog, who has a tumor (the octopus) on her head. Ted is able to converse with both the dog and the octopus. The book takes a certain amount of suspension of belief which I am ok with. But then a section of the book went into an iodd fantasy story and lost me.

Standard silly fun you expect from an Oregon Files thriller.

Great wrap up to an amazing series. Justin Cronin has managed to write a literary post apocalyptic vampire trilogy.
