The conclusion to Spellsinger, it brings the story to a satisfying conclusion, but leaves a nice open ending for Jon-Tom and his companions. The lanky Spellsinger hasn't gone home, but maybe has found a home in this new world.

One of the more entertaining series I read as a teenager. As an adult, I get more of the humor now, and find that its popcorn approach to a fantasy world, along with the tongue in cheek humor and honestly serious moments of introspection and character development make for a great read.
