Last watercolor painting for the day. That makes four for today, so I‘m making up for not painting for months. 🤣

Second watercolor painting for today. Our anniversary is next week, and I really want to frame one of my paintings as a gift for my partner, so I‘m trying out a few different paintings to see which one I like best. #LitsyCrafters #watercolor
I haven‘t really been actively creating much lately, so I haven‘t had anything to post for #LitsyCrafters , but I did pull out my watercolors to practice blending colors today. I want to do a larger landscape, but I‘m still trying to figure out which shades go with which. I haven‘t used this palette in a while, so it may take a few more gos until I really am comfortable with the way the colors go together, but it‘s progress, so I‘ll take it. :)
Finally had the chance to sit down and paint a little this afternoon. I painted these notecards following the Galaxy Hair tutorial by Let‘s Make Art (link in the comments if anyone‘s interested). These will probably end up being sent out for upcoming swaps.
Which one do you like better — top or bottom? Why?
I think I prefer the bottom which is also the second one I painted but I‘m curious about other‘s opinions.

Our community art center is getting rid of their library so they did a book giveaway. I‘m sad that they‘re closing their library, but happy for the stack I got out of it. Bittersweet.
3 fantastic 1950s watercolor prints of various dpots in Israel. I've no place to hang them, but I've got them.
In this graphic novel, Ursa, a firefighter, crosses paths with Rafi, a Mexican immigrant. It's the story of a brief encounter between two people. Full of symbolism, with a touch of magic realism, it's a very interesting book to discover.
