Knuffle Bunny | Mo Willems
post image

My professor asked us all to create blogs, where we‘ll post our homework & assignments. (Happy to share mine if folks are interested; I‘m proud of my design theme but there‘s not much on it yet). Our first assignment is to write about a favorite picture book. I haven‘t written the entry yet but I decided to go with “Knuffle Bunny.” This meant that I wandered into a laundromat & weirdly did a quick photo shoot even though I had no laundry to do. 😅

monalyisha Note: It‘s not *much* easier to choose a favorite picture book than it is to choose a favorite book altogether. “Knuffle Bunny” is definitely up there in terms of read-alouds but I‘m not saying it‘s my hands-down fave. “Interrupting Chicken” is also a strong contender — maybe a little bit ahead of KB, tbh. I just think KB will make for a more interesting blog post. 😉 (edited) 7d
NHLibrarian I‘m not a children‘s librarian in any way, but when I have to fill in, Sam and Dave Dig a Hole is one of my favorites. Also Mustache Baby and I Ain‘t Gonna Paint No More. 7d
LibrarianRyan I love this. I like the weird titles like I really want to eat a child, all the Walter the farting dog books, and Who pooped on my head (actually titled the mile who went in search of a who done it). 7d

monalyisha @LibrarianRyan Along similar thematic lines, I just read “The Book That Eats People” to a bunch of 4th & 5th graders today. 🙌🏻 7d
LibrarianRyan @monalyisha I LOVE that one. 7d
MeganAnn I‘d love to read your homework blog! 😘 Some favorites from when my son was little are The adventures of Beekle, The Astonishing Secret of Awesome Man, and I Need My Monster... I think I might still have them all memorized😆 7d

Something I love about this book is how it goes from beginning very calm and happy, goes to chaos, and then back to happy again. It is such a fun story!

Pickpick

“Knuffle Bunny” by Mo Willems is an attention grabber from start to finish! It is a perfectly cute and hilarious representation of what happens when a child loses their favorite toy. Definitely a book that children would love to enjoy in the classroom
