"To be two means to help each other to be, to discover and cultivate happiness, to take care of the difference between us, not merely because of its role in generation, because it represents the means of humanity's production and reproduction, but in order to achieve happiness and make it blossom."
To Be Two by Luce Irigaray

On “efforts to mobilise against the prostituting and trafficking of women for sexual and other abusive purposes. This is sometimes cast as solely a gender problem—yet there are hierarchies among women in the US & all over the world that contribute to a woman being prostituted or trafficked. Ethnically & socially marginal women have fewer economic options & are more vulnerable to traffickers.”

‘Some seeds die when one wants to assimilate them, to make them one‘s own, instead of offering them a hospitable place to take root, to develop, to blossom.‘

‘Anger is a signal, and one worth listening to. Our anger may be a message that we are being hurt, that our rights are being violated, that our needs or wants are not being adequately met, or simply that something is not right. Our anger may tell us that we are not addressing important emotional issues in our lives, or that too much of our self—our beliefs, values, desires, or ambitions—is being compromised in a relationship.‘

SOOTHSAYER: a woman who Dares to counter the patriarchal deadly sin of deception; Courageous Truth-sayer

//

Women‘s liberationists exposing the patriarchal deceits, the cultural gaslighting, will be called many woman-shaming names by a misogynist; we womanists and feminists will celebrate each woman brave enough to speak truth to power and call her SOOTHSAYER

What am I doing on my Sunday night: Reading of course. I‘m back to my one sit reads. I had a 3$ Verizon up reward for Barnes and Noble so I used it on the nooks ebook edition of The Handmaid‘s Tale Graphic novel. I watch the show, I own the book (and no I haven‘t read it) and honestly while I find this adaptions art to be pretty I‘m still not inspired to read the book. #onesitreads #feministreading

Women and Girls Not For Sale! Anti-capitalist comrades, fellow feminists, liberation seekers, Resist! Consent is not for sale. Sex is not a commodity. Women‘s bodies are not objects, nor is the purpose of a woman to service the sexualised cravings of men. Commercialisation is always an exploitation. Why let the capitalists take advantage of the most vulnerable, most intimate, that which should be most autonomous?

The greatest pressure on earth‘s resources is not from large numbers of poor people but from a small number of the world‘s ever-consuming elite.

[which is why we are inculcated through propaganda to idolise the rich, to look to them as our saviours, while demonising and ostracising the poor.]
