I've always been very easily scared, particularly of #vampires but still I loved the comic “I, Vampire“ as a teen. This was my favorite story.

This book didn't know what it was or what it wanted to focus on. Was it a paranormal romance? Was it a thriller? Was it a cosy mystery? Who knows!
There were a lot of tonal changes which made the book disjointed. It needed to be shorter and the plot tighter. There was a lot of unnecessary repetition which bogged everything down.
A thin story held together by tenuous logic with a vacuous MC. During his transition to becoming a vampire, he thinks about getting “a taste of that pizza boy sauce, some of that gushing red death juice” which is the best line in the book. Unfortunately, that anarchy fades & we learn vampires are actually super boring. He spends his nights in bars looking for drunk college boys to suck on in the bathroom, & I‘m making it sound more fun than it is.
I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!) Feel free to join in!
