LibraryThing user saroz: I would recommend Helene Wecker's "The Golem and the Jinni" to anyone who enjoyed "The Night Circus." I think it would probably be right up this reader's alley.

Since they already have Joanne Harris' "Chocolat," another good choice might be its sequel, "The Girl with No Shadow," which is a bit more openly fantasy. (Nov 28, 2023, 9:26am)
