Recipient is not the account.Gift is for: Rachel (15 yo daughter)
Rachel likes very deep books that make you think. She prefers fiction and some of her favorite books include A Series of Unfortunate Events (when she was younger), The High House by James Stoddard, and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. She doesn't have many genre preferences and she has read everything from non-fiction to poetry.
She is an advanced reader so don't get to concerned with reading level, plot complexity etc.

Something much (much) heavier would be Markus Zusak's "The Book Thief," but it might also be a good choice. (Nov 26, 2023, 1:44am)
One of my personal favorite books is The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. It’s fiction, it’s not exactly “makes you think” but I thought about the twist at the end for days. Another book like that is When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead.
She’d probably like Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo because it’s written with understandable language but it has a lot of twists and layers to think about.
I was going to recommend the runaway jury but I saw she’s already read it. I also noticed she’s read The Hunger Games, and if she liked those, I think she’d like Percy Jackson too. (Nov 25, 2023, 1:20pm)
