LibraryThing user Yells: Since you like murder mysteries, I thought one of my husband's favourite authors would be a good choice. Jennings was born in Britain but moved to Canada in her teens. If you enjoy her writing, check out the Murdoch Mysteries - it's a pretty good book and TV series. I also went with We Were Dreamers, a memoir that I read this year and really enjoyed. Simu Liu is a Chinese Canadian actor/stuntman/Marvel super hero and he writes about his struggles and triumphs of immigrating to Canada and then trying to make it in the cutthroat world of acting.
