Recipient's book tastes

I love a good mystery (ala Tana French) and most dark academia titles (see: The Secret History). I also enjoy everything from literary fiction (Rebecca Makkai-ish) to dark fantasy (Leigh Bardugo's Alex Stern series). Surprise me! I'm dying to get lost in another world right now.

Do not get

Colleen Hoover, Jodi Picoult, and the like. Just not my cup of tea.
