The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 12 | Kousuke Oono
2 posts | 2 read
Tatsu ends up on the radar of an overeager police officer when he attends a traffic safety course, and it isnt long before a simple class demonstration turns deadly! Well, for the mascot dragged into it, anyway. Has the law finally caught up with this yakuza legend turned househusband, or will he get off clean once again? -- VIZ Media

Mehso-so

Okay, I'll admit I still feel weird about the 'physique of an adult, mind of a child' phrase introducing one of the kid's baseball team players - even as it's later added that he's 7 years old, in 2nd grade, it seems at first to be exploiting an intellectually disabled person for a loophole, and then attempting to designate the body of an actual child as more mature than it actually is 1/?

Robotswithpersonality 2/? regardless of hormonal difference or physiology, both of which give me the ick.
It's likely a badly framed attempt at a joke that I'm reading too much into, and thankfully is the only thing in this volume that put me off.

Robotswithpersonality 3/? Within the baseball chapters, Tatsu attempting to cheat in really lame ways while the women of acquaintance in business and neighbourhood obliterate the competition, only to have the kids win against the old mob boss who was holding the match because his windows kept getting broken amused me. 1mo
Robotswithpersonality 3/? In the now-expected turn to the purposefully unsettling and also violent in an slapstick way, the cop who cannot seem to stop running over his mascot colleague during a traffic safety seminar, screaming “nowhere is safe“ is darkly comic, complete with far too happy facial expressions. 1mo
Robotswithpersonality 4/? The end of year apartment cleanup and the chocolate making session felt like the most fun, of course poor Masa ended up smacked repeatedly in efforts to prevent him from doing tasks incorrectly, and Miku continues to be a terror both in the kitchen and at the dining table. 1mo
Robotswithpersonality 5/5 I feel better for seeing Masa get some unexpected TLC, the hopes for having a fortune read morphing into being fed treats and then welcomed for dinner by strangers, in a wholesome non-creepy way.
I appreciate that Tatsu wracked up his standard lack-of-cool points, topped off by the guitar performance with Miku and cat as surprise audience. 😁

Okay, yeah, you know what?
I think Tatsu and crew are absolutely rocking the gangster+baseball gear look. 😎⚾
