These gorgeously illustrated graphic novels offer wildly entertaining views of their subjects. Whether you're a fourth grader doing a natural science unit at school or a thirty-year-old with a secret passion for airplanes, these books are for you! This volume: in Dinosaurs, learn all about the history of paleontology! This fascinating look at dinosaur science covers the last 150 years of dinosaur hunting, and illuminates how our ideas about dinosaurs have changed--and continue to change.

So excited to finally read an installment of the Science Comics series! I have a newfound interest in dinosaurs after listening to My Beloved Brontosaurus last month. This is a middle grade non-fiction comic (#ReadHarder all-ages comic!) that will surely appeal to tons of kids and adults interested in learning more. I loved the humor and the framing in this. Science is so freaking cool.

Aswenson My now 5 year-old has been obsessed with dinosaurs since he has 2. I'm pretty proud of my Dino knowledge now. 😄 3y
LindsayReads @Aswenson I hosted a preschool dino program with the science center last year, and the presenter said it was the only program they always had to send someone out with a paleontology background because inevitably a 4 yo is going to lay down some hardcore dino facts. Sure enough, that happened. 😂😂 3y
Aswenson I can totally see that happening, hilarious! 3y

Nonfiction comic with fantastic art + interesting info about dinosaurs + the history of paleontology! SO FUN.

I admit that I judged this cover as "younger" than this book actually reads but I feel like pretty much all ages will love this. My entire household has spent many hours with this comic (I love that). Every time I put it on the shelf, someone pulls it off for a reread ?

Also: I am on the search for more graphic work by Joe Flood ??

Fantastic nonfiction graphic novel, a history of paleontology and dinosaur discoveries. Not just about dinosaurs, but about science and the quest for understanding. I loved the chapter breaks which gave a rundown of the scientific "knowns" of that year, which we see change across different time periods.
