With the 102d Infantry Division Through Germany | 
My Dad enlisted in November of 1942. He was 20 years old. He never really talked about his service except for the USO shows, and the bottle of real Coke they all somehow got at Christmas in Germany. If we asked if he was somewhere, he'd say yes, but it was night, all the lights were out, and he was in the back of a truck.
