Hoodoo for War and Peace: Working Magic Spells for Justice and Protection | Angelie Belard
1 post | 1 read
Learn Hoodoo for Justice, Peace, and Protection The world is not always a nice place. Sometime, it can be downright treacherous. That means sometimes you'll have to protect yourself, and other times you'll have to make your own justice. Hoodoo is old North American folk magic, born from the African spiritual traditions brought to the New World by slaves. Over the centuries it incorporated Native American and European influences, using what worked and discarding what did not. What is left is an adaptable, powerful magical system that works. In this book you'll learn 50 authentic Hoodoo workings focused on justice, peace, and protection, including: Domination Oil - using calamus root Curse Your Enemies - using nails Hot Foot Powder - using hot peppers and sulfur The Witch's Hand - using crow feathers Self Protection - with salt and silver Block Black magic - with juniper berries Protection & Power Hand - with High John root Each spell will focus on one key ingredient, explaining why that ingredient is used, so you can learn to make your own magic. Each comes with simple step-by-step instructions that anyone can follow.

This was pretty good, informative.

I do have caveats. Hoodoo is not the same thing as Voodoo/Vodun. That former is a religion; Hoodoo is more conjure, rootwork, magic.

Like magic it can be either for protection or hexing, what have you. You can still be a Catholic/Christian/whatever and do that hoodoo that you do…🎶🎶🎶

Sorry, reminded me of the song! Anyway, it‘s folk beliefs.

It is, however, not vegan-friendly. But an interesting read.

Bklover Fascinating!! 1y
