Pickpick

A reread from undergrad days (of which I have almost zero recollection), this is an accessible intro to Frye. Transcribed from six radio sessions in the 1960s, Frye describes three levels of language and expands that into a why and how of literature studies.

My English mentor was Frye‘s assistant for a long time, so he leaned heavily on Frye‘s work. In reading Harold Bloom I‘ve found some antipathy there, so I want to read more Frye to learn why.
