It‘s the late-60s, and Ariel‘s sister has run off to elope with the Indian man she‘s fallen for, disappointing her Jewish parents. There are other big changes in 12 yr old Ariel‘s life, including discovering her learning disability, but she grows and becomes braver & more courageous as she learns to trust herself and speak up. 🔽
