This is a great anthology of poetry in the format of a picture book. So far my favorite poem is about stereotyping. I think it's a great way to explain it to young kids. I need to add this social justice resource to my 🌈 Rainbow Library collection. Students will appreciate the youth activism, and BLM themes. This book inspires children to take part in making our 🌎 a better place.

mandarchy 4 days later and I am still visiting this book. Something I love about picture books is that when you reread them you see more. There are books that I have read almost 200 times because of my job. Today I noticed that at the bottom of each pg, next to the pg# is the topic of the poem - which is great for teachers when they need to read something quick to center their students. Topics such as: activism, ableism, ally, gender, joy, justice, empathy. 2y

I‘m not really a poetry person. However, I‘m a huge fan of Elizabeth Acevedo. I enjoyed her poems the most. #staywoke

Nute A lovely circumstance - to see how many books representing all walks of life and focusing on diverse backgrounds are now available for young people. Stacking! 4y
