I read the end although I bailed it. Who else does so❓😄

Well I didn‘t like that there seemed to be arena 🏟 fights. This too much reminds me of Panem. But the idea of Cronos being Kai‘s dad is really cool. I mean, she‘s able to manipulate time, so one could have guessed it. It‘s quite creative, anyway.

But overall I couldn‘t get rid of the impression that the author stole the pieces for the story here and there without creating something new.

This one turned uninteresting. It started promising – but: To me it doesn‘t feel like there are relationships between some characters. The author says so but words alone don‘t transport friendship. I don‘t like most of the characters. They are too flat even if the world building sounds promising. Additionally the book is part one of _another_ 🙄 teen-love-triangle-series.

No, thank you, no more girlie love (talk) for me. Bye, bye, book. 👋🏼

Marketing blurb of my new read.

“17-year-old Kai lives with her brother Reev in the slums. Kai has a secret, she has the talent to manipulate the threads of time. When Reev disappears one day Kai does everything to find him, even if she must risk that her secret gets revealed.”

Hope it doesn‘t get too weird. On the one hand it sounds interesting. On the other hand it also sounds like the author has many opportunities to do it the wrong way.

*whispers* please be good, please be good...

I need a win and something to entertain me while folding this mountain of laundry. I‘m not into audiobooks but I have to admit that alternating reading with listening (when I‘m doing something else) so I don‘t have to completely set aside the book, definitely makes Kindle Unlimited gain a few points.
Now if I could find a book/series I LOVE on it, that would be just peachy.

The second part of my audio purchases. Battlefront 2 was my credit purchase, and the two Lori M. Lee books were on sale.

Started out with great world building, but the introduction of ultimate powers within the universe of the book wasn't as well developed as I would have liked. It's a series, though, and I will read the second book to see where the story goes.

Started this one on my Kindle at the gym. Good world building so far.
