Fun fast read starring Special Agent Eve Rossi. She has an interesting background (mostly unexplored) and is brought to the scene of a hostage situation. She is in charge of a group of former criminals who have special skill sets. St. Patrick's Cathedral is also a non person character. Along with standard story telling, there are reports and maps to break it up.

This first novel in Pintoff's thriller series focuses as much on assembling a team as it does the plot, but it works. A man has taken hostages inside New York's St Patricks Cathedral and agent Eve Rossi must reassemble her band of thieves and mercenaries working for the FBI to figure out what is really going on. It kept me hooked!

It ran so fast from beginning to end. Couldn't slow it down.
