The brilliant Lucas Davenport thriller from the number one New York Times bestselling author. Lucas Davenport has seen many terrible murder scenes. This is one of the worst. In the Minnesota town of Wayzata, an entire family has been killed—husband, wife, two kids, dogs. On the wall, in blood: “Were coming.” No apostrophe. Lucas is mugged after he stops at an ATM while he is running.
He gets called in for a horrific case where the whole family was killed and tortured. Looks like ties to Mexican drug gangs.
Don't see Elle in this one, but the programmer ICE is there. Less of Lucas manipulating individual reporters. My issue with this one, despite being a good story, is how it's "Mexican" drug gangs. Just seems to feed into today's fears.
