I missed independent bookstore day yesterday but picked up these two today. I loved the first two Téa Obreht novels, so very excited for this one. And the 2nd is two novellas that are sci-fi (or sci-fi- adjacent?) from an Argentinian author I've never read. It continues a trend where I buy a book and later realize it's from New Directions Publishing, so I guess I must be their target audience? 🤷♂️ They put out great stuff.
