The Strange Case of Finley Jayne
The Strange Case of Finley Jayne | Kady Cross
3 posts | 22 read | 5 to read
Finley Jayne knows she's not 'normal'. Normal girls don't lose time, or have something inside them that makes them capable of remarkably violent things. Her behavior has already cost her one job, so when she's offered the lofty position of companion to Phoebe, a debutante recently engaged to Lord Vincent, she accepts, despite having no experience. Lord Vincent is a man of science with his automatons and inventions, but Finley is suspicious of his motives where Phoebe is concerned. She will do anything to protect her new friend, but what she discovers is even more monstrous than anything she could have imagined… An ebook exclusive prequel to The Steampunk Chronicles.

I thought this was a very good beginning to The Steampunk Chronicles series. It was a quick read, since it is just a short e-book, so if you are looking for something fast and entertaining, then I would highly recommend this book. It is of course in the steampunk genre, so it combines elements of technology and industry with science fiction elements. I would check out the series. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a short story/novella about Finley Jane, a not "normal" young lady. It's part of The Steampunk Chronicles series and explains more about Finley and who/what she might be - without giving too much of the series away. I enjoyed the story and insight into an interesting character. The writing is good and story, while short, is also worth a read.
