pickA short story included in the Skeleton Crew collection featuring a young boy who is left alone with his very old, unhealthy grandmother while his mother runs an errand. His fear of her dying while he is with her comes across so large. It was terrifying to me. Being privy to this child‘s innocent thoughts in relation to getting older and being a bit unhealthy-and hearing adults gossip but not understanding what gossip is-so fantastic. Classic King.
