At a young age Elizabeth, known as Lizzy to most, develops a bit of a crush on Jones, an older boy she meets under desperate circumstances. Over the next few months, they develop a unique bond. A bond of secrets and lies Lizzy struggles to keep hidden from the rest of the world. When he moves away, Lizzy knows he's gone forever and so she goes on with her life the best she can while keeping her dark truth tucked away. Eventually she meets Peter and falls hard for him.
