Mehso-so

Perhaps this wasn‘t the right time in my life to tackle Mann… There is no question about his talent as a wordsmith but I found most of the stories in this collection dull, obtuse, and difficult for the sake of difficulty.
Star ratings for each story:
Death in Venice: 4/5
Tonio Kroger: 3/5
Mario and the Magician: 3.5/5
Disorder and Early Sorrow: 2/5
A Man and his Dog: 4.5/5
The Blood of the Walsungs: 3/5
Tristan: 3.5/5
Felix Krull: 4/5
