The Scottish Enlightenment and Literary Culture
The Scottish Enlightenment and Literary Culture | Ronnie Young, Ralph McLean, Kenneth Simpson
1 post
This volume takes a fresh look at the literary culture of the Scottish Enlightenment and the wider impact of imaginative literature on Enlightenment culture in general. Covering key authors and work in areas as varied as philosophy, medicine, travel writing, religion, drama, history, publishing, and the periodical press, it provides scholars and students with a timely re-evaluation of the links between imaginative literature and the larger project of Enlightenment in Scotland and beyond.

A fairytale playground with a library at the centre of it for my little reader! ♥️📕

Ericalambbrown Is this in your yard? THIS IS GLORIOUS!!!!! 6y
lucylovestoread @Ericalambbrown I wish! It's the playground of a stately home near us. One of the lords was involved in the Scottish Enlightenment and had a pretty sweet library so they themed the playground around that. Such a good idea! 6y
Ericalambbrown @lucyinedinburgh It‘s still amazing! So cool! 6y
