A quintessential Jayne Ann Krentz romancethe latest from the New York Times bestselling author of Dream Eyes and Copper Beach. Thirteen years ago, Lucy Sheridan was dragged out of a wild party by the older guy she had a crush on. Now, returning to Summer River in Californias wine country after her aunts fatal car accident, Lucy is learning there was more to the story than she realized. Mason Fletcher saved her from a very nasty crime that nightand soon afterward, Tristan, the cold-blooded rich kid whod targeted her, mysteriously disappeared A lot has changed since that long-ago summer. Lucy is now a forensic genealogist, while Mason runs a successful security firm with his brother. And when he and Lucy make a shocking discovery inside her aunts house, and some of Tristans old friends start acting suspicious, Masons quietly fierce instincts kick into gear. Sarah returns to her aunt‘s home to prepare it for sale. Along the way, she determines that her aunt didn‘t die in an accident; it was murder. She also develops a relationship with the guy who caught her attention during her high school summer break. One of those books you don‘t want to put down.

I love Krentz novels. They're a fun, light romance read. Perfect if you're in a book slump or just had a really bad day. This one was as good as all the others she has written. A little predictable, but I don't read it for that. Krentz, and any of her other pen names, are always an auto read for me.

It is 11:11pm. I should be going to sleep. Instead I am laying down and about to start this book I checked out from the library. Because you know having to get up at 6am and be sleep deprived all day is a fun time to me.

Isn't my bookmark adorable? I got in a #homemadedecades box. I only use for books I don't own. Usually I am a monster who folds pages.

CoverToCoverGirl Picked this book up last weekend at a book sale 😁Are you liking it? 7y
WarpedSweetness @CoverToCoverGirl I am. I tend to like her books. Her (and her other names) tend to be auto reads/buys for me. 7y

Mehso-so

I usually love Jayne Ann Krentz romantic suspense, but this one fell short of her usual awesomeness. I enjoyed the mystery, but the characters felt flat and the relationship forced.

[DELETED] 2232195534 That's too bad. Haven't tried this one, but have read many of her books and liked them very much. 8y
Lauren_reading @kaysreadinglife I have never not enjoyed one of her books before - it wasn't that bad, but compared to her others not my favorite. I have her next one on hold and have faith it will be good. 8y
Carol Am I the only one who really deeply painfully misses her Arcane Society series? 😿 8y
