Sleepwalk: And Other Stories
Sleepwalk: And Other Stories | Adrian Tomine
3 posts | 6 read | 2 to read
Collecting the first four issues of Adrian Tomine's acclaimed comic series optic nerve, this book offers sixteen concise, haunting tales of modern life. The characters here appear to be well-adjusted on the surface, but Tomine takes us deeper into their lives, subtly examining their struggle to connect with friends and lovers.

Pickpick

A bleak but honest collection of misconnections, meaninglessness, and everyday cowardice. My favorite might be Supermarket--the loneliness of a blind man who tries and fails to befriend someone obligated to help him--or maybe Dylan & Donovan: a road trip that only reveals the distance between its participants. A healthy dose of depression for fans of short form masters.
