I‘m happy I stumbled across this series on kindle unlimited. There are 3 stories in French with a detailed glossary at the back. And, most convenient, in between every few paragraphs are highlighted words from the paragraphs and their definitions in English. This is much better than having to stop every 5 seconds to look something up. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is learning French. 4โญ๏ธ

This was a great supplement to my language learning. These simple stories introduce vocabulary and common sayings in an organic way. There are definitions interspersed within the stories and a glossary at the back of the book. The stories themselves are rather simple and uninteresting, but they give a nice sense of accomplishment after reading. #frenchlittens

Chrissyreadit Would this be good for a high school student studying French? 6y

Hey #frenchlittens! I‘m starting this beginning French short story collection for adults. If you have Amazon Prime these collections are all included, so it‘s a great resource. I was also wondering if anyone has tried newsinslow.com. I know they do a French version, but I haven‘t tried it yet. I heard about it on NPR the other day and am curious.

Redwritinghood @Lcsmcat I think the noted author (Sylvia Laine) wrote them all. They are just meant to be a learning tool, not really literature. 6y
