2 posts | 3 read
Kate Greene lives in New York with her divorced mother, and attends sixth grade in the very progressive school, Village Humanity, and at the moment she has two main problems--partnering with Sam, the Incredible Dork, in developing the class production of Harriet the Spy, and coping with her mother's obsession with cleanliness which is a symptom of her worsening obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I received two copies of this book from the author, #MelissaRoske, for my Little Free Libraries. one copy has already gone into one of the libraries but I knew I had to read the other copy first. I'm so glad I did, this is a wonderful book for kids ages 7 to 12 or 13 and even for adults! Melissa highlights School woes with both friends and homework as well as the challenges that come with having divorced parents & a stepparent. MORE in comments...

TheHeartlandBookFairy I love the way she encourages the character of cat green as well as the other kids in the book to talk out their problems with a school counselor, a parent, or an adult! Really, and entertaining book that is very well written and touches on several relevant subjects. Thanks for sharing Melissa!!! 7y
