This fable was very sweet, but I feel like it did not have much of a message behind it. Leo Lionni's illustrations were very creative though! DrSpalding A simple, sweet story....sometimes that's all you need. I think it promotes creativity! I had first graders create their own rabbits wth wallpaper scraps! 7y
