This was a really engaging book that was both brutal and beautiful at times. A man goes down to a rural area of Louisiana to run a lumber mill and look after his older brother who is the camp‘s only lawman. They struggle to rebuild their bond while also bumping up against the Italian mob who run the local bar and have their hands in tons of illegal activities. The description doesn‘t really do the story justice, but it‘s the best I can do!
