This was a pretty good middle grade novel. Hilarious zombie cows embedded in a story about racist bullying, persecution of undocumented immigrants, and the evils of the feedlot meatpacking industry. I might have liked a little more zombie action and a little less preaching, but still a solid read. Also: there are zero female characters.
