In middle school I fell in love with this series, so much so I used to try to make the recipes in the back or even just write them down in my journal (I was borrowing the books at the time). Thanks to this Hour 36 challenge I remembered all about it! Adding to my TBR to re-read and finish the series. Maybe even have a cook off with my daughter.

While I couldn't really get into the plot of the book, I do love the illustrations. They are both cute and expressive. After a while, I gave up on trying to figure out what was going on and just skimmed the text, enjoying the images.

*Kitchen Princess v.3* like for real Akane better shape the fuck up and learn to deal with the little green monster soon or I will have some serious problems. Other than that, this one was so cute!! 💛

There's only one listing on here for this series, so here is Kitchen Princess vol. 2 under the same listing I used for the last one. This volume focused on a girl with an eating disorder, and it was very cool to see illustrated 1) the pressure the girl had to be as thin as possible [it's nobody's fault for having an ED!!!] 2) the other characters were taking it seriously and knew how dangerous EDs are.
