I love the way the author took the structure of stories similar to The Wizard of Oz and Planet of the Apes, and wrapped it up with biblical references, time period specific issues, and the curses of the human condition. I‘m 19 but still love reading some youth books such as this because I can learn something from almost any reading. Love the depth in this very simple novel!!!
