Cute and quirky just like Lindsey. She is so honest and it makes the book feel so fresh and light. Definitely worth a read!

I was so looking forward to this book because I was so enraptured by the first. There was so much going on and I wasn't able to connect with the magic as I did in the first book. The conclusion of the curse was pretty anticlimactic but all in all it wasn't the worst sequel I've read.

I was so excited to read this book by Amy Tan but I was unfortunately very disappointed. It seemed too long and I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters. Although it explored a part of Chinese history I wasn't familiar with, I would look for another book to explore it. 😕
