I love this book as the message it gives is one that my dad stressed to me as a child. I think that the message treat others how you would like to be treated is so important for all students to hear.

“You see, Penelope, children are the same as us on the inside, just tastier.”
This book is a lighthearted book about a dinosaur that can't help but eat the classmates. This is a good book for younger students about inclusivity and making new friends. The overall theme of this book is treat others the way you want to be treated, which is an important theme for younger kids.
I passed the GACE parapro exam on Friday and I'll begin as a Kindergarten para tomorrow morning 👩🏫🏫
This is a photo of me reading with my Kindergarten teacher. By a twist of fate, I'll be the para in her daughter-in-law's classroom!
This teacher meant so much to me for many reasons, including her encouragement and nurturing of my early reading skills! I hope that I can leave a positive impression on the students I encounter ❤️
Blurb:
I would use this book in my classroom to introduce graphic novels and the aspects of them. Like the gutter, how to read them, etc.
Review:
From this book, students can relate to being tired at school and not being able to focus because of it. Or being asked to show their work in math class but they just know the answer and do not show their work so they get points off. This graphic novel is appropriate for third graders and beyond because of the words in the novel and their difficulty.
The moment when the mother tells her little racoon that if he ever misses her to put his palm with the kiss up to his face and remember that his mom loves him and is always with him.
