so-soThe book was definitely unique, but it was unique in ways that just didn't matter to me. I wanted to see the characters investigate evil masquerading as good and beautiful evil, since there were so many opportune characters for the job. It tried, but it just wasn't as good at searching the grey areas as I'd hoped. A disappointing first date but not terrible I guess 🤷🏽♂️
