A short collection of biographical stories from the author's youth. He has not yet fully acknowledged his queerness by the end, but he details several scenarios that begin to open some doors, as well as some general stories about growing up in an Indian home.

These interconnected short stories are so vital. Shraya's writing connects gender, sexuality, race in these painful coming of age tales in Canada. I think more people should read her work. I know I look forward to reading more from her (her picture book is pretty fabulous too).
