Thinking about art tonight, and this book. Someone gave it to me when I was young, and now I don't understand why. My sister was always pegged as “the artistic one,“ and I was hopeless. So why give me a book on drawing?

I worked my way through the first few exercises several times, but always got stuck and gave up when it came to anything representational. I wish I could try again but I apparently got rid of the book at some point.

Leading a drawing elective for 10 and 11 year olds and wondering if I should read her first book instead but I'm finding a lot of really helpful info here.
