An interesting read, though it dragged a little in the middle. The Parkers brought 4 children from rough backgrounds under the wing of their maid Pearl. To the children, Pearl was their real mom. After the Parkers died Pearl raised the children off the money raised by 2 of them and allowed 1 to act as the lady of the manor. It all begins to come to a head before their 1st wedding.
