The last thing Tegan remembers is the crack as the gun went off, intense pain, and everything fading to black. One hundred years later, she wakes up. A fast-paced near-future romance. 'A stirring and century-spanning adventure story that vividly shows how the future is created by our mistakes, our triumphs, and our love.' - Scott Westerfeld.

I really liked this, but, there was one thing that was unrealistic very soon after Tegan woke up. The storyline moved forward in time quite quickly, but then, YA books often do. There is some discussion of social and political issues, and the most obvious change is the climate, and how people have had to adapt, and the effect those changes have had on people and countries. LibraryCin I actually liked how it ended. It left it open for a sequel (and there is one), but I feel like, even with the unanswered questions at the end, it could have ended there. I‘m not sure why I‘m ok with leaving those questions unanswered, but of course, since there is another book, I will plan to read it and continue the story 5y

This book was definitely a good one! It is YA and I was able to finish it in a day. I love dystopian fiction and this was interesting from start to finish. It proposed a lot of interesting philosophical questions about life and religion but managing to not come across as pretentious. Even though it was written in 2013 many of the topics are still VERY relevant today and offer unique view points on them.
