I'm reading a steampunk Sleeping Beauty-- it's the scene just at the christening when the bad fae enters to curse the baby-- "[the queen] was interrupted by a shattering of one of the large stained-glass windows lining the Great Hall. Color sprayed everywhere in deadly splinters, as if a rainbow had been murdered." What imagery!! ?
