Derek, a mysterious old Irish man, who claims to be not of this Earth, kidnaps Sersha, a young, headstrong, Irish girl, from the streets of Galway and tries to convince her that her life's destiny is tied to a mystical cave in the Scottish highlands. Meanwhile, Sersha struggles back and forth with Derek's true identity and his far fetched intentions with her, and whether he truly is genuine in his wild, fantastical beliefs about where she is actually from. Or is he just some crazy and demented, old fool, having a mental breakdown in his twilight years.
This book is so well written, it keeps you interested through the whole story. And it has some heartbreaking moments too! It‘s not all just frightening kidnapping. I truly recommend everyone who loves a good thriller to read this book.
